The Moroccan Charity Foundation of USA Awards

Receiving the Moroccan Charity Foundation of USA Award at the Annual Award Dinner in USA City will be the President NYC-Central Labor Council AFL-CIO and New York Assemblyman Brian McLaughlin. Assemblyman Brian McLaughlin has been an outspoken advocate for immigrants' rights. Since his election to the Legislature in 1992, Assemblyman McLaughlin has represented the 25th Assembly District, which was redistricted after the 2002 election to include the neighborhoods of Bayside, Briarwood, Flushing, Hillcrest, Jamaica, Jamaica Estates, Kew Gardens Hills, Richmond Hill, South Ozone Park and Whitestone. The Assembly District is one of the most ethnically, culturally, and economically diverse legislative districts in the country. Assemblyman McLaughlin's legislative priorities include criminal justice reform, preservation of residential quality of life; rebuilding New York's aging infrastructure to promote economic development and job growth; consumer protection; housing; and programs and services for older adults. The Moroccan Charity Foundation of USA is honored to have Assemblyman Brian McLaughlin as recipient of this award, presented to outstanding immigrants or immigrant advocates.
