At this very moment, there are Moroccan detainees in Tindouf South-West Algeria are being held against their will by the Algerian regime.
They are regularly tortured, forced to perform slave labor malnourished and deprived access to medical attention. They are being used as "victims" to lure foreign aid.
In July, a peaceful sit-in for Hunger rape kidnap and socio-economic demands by Moroccan Sahrawi students, and people with disabilities in Tindouf South-West Algeria, was violently broken up by the Algerian security forces, as was a march held several days later to protest at the brutal manner in which the sit-in had been dispersed. Dozens of Moroccan Sahrawis were severely beaten, and many sustained serious injuries, including broken bones. Dozens were arrested and there were reports of torture in detention
The Moroccan Sahrawi demonstrators were savagely tortured, some of them disappeared and some others arrested. Up to the present, more than a hundred injured people have been declared in Tindouf South-West Algeria and about ten houses were looted by the Algerian forces agents. All these crimes have been perpetrated in less than a month.
The situation of the Moroccan Sahrawi people in Tindouf is alarming, especially that there are no political or media delegations to report the Algerian atrocities. Therefore, I appeal to all to exert pressure on the Algerian state in order for the Moroccan Sahrawis' to exercise their right and to allow an international delegation to investigate the latest crimes committed by the Algerian forces against the defenseless Moroccan Sahrawi citizens.
Your voice desperately needs to be heard. Please support these Moroccan Sahrawi detainees in Tindouf South-West Algeria by signing this petition: We the undersigned, urge Algerian regime to respect the Moroccan Sahrawis' to exercise their right and to allow an international delegation to investigate the latest crimes committed by its forces
